VINEYARDS IN CEBREROS

Old vineyards between walls, small smallholdings of more than 60 years old of the varieties garnacha and albillo real that sink their roots in soils of granite, slate and quartz of different textures.

The town of Cebreros is the reference in terms of diversity and quantity of vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos, between the beds of the Alto Alberche, the rivers Becedas, Jorco and its many streams sit numerous small vineyards that give personality to their places, Villalba, Las Parrilas, Valverde, Llanotoledo, El Galayo, Las Loberas, La Manchera, Seroles, El Bao, La Pizarra …. and a lot of names that make up the municipality of Cebreros, up the slopes of El Galayo to Arrebatacapas, vineyards at altitude, between 750 and 1.100 meters in the northernmost area of the PDO Cebreros and straddling the Sierra de Gredos and Guadarrama.

Poor soils and low rainfall give a unique character to its grape production, fresh, agile, direct, fruity wines with a history of survival in hostile terrain.
